We Hope You'll Find What You're Looking For.
Can I have more then two revisions on my mix?
Absolutely, additional revisions can be made for an additional cost.
How many track of audio can I send?
We base our online mixing rates on a 48 channel limit (with stereo files counting as two channels). We offer three different prices depending on the amount of tracks in your project.Â
My project has more than 48 tracks, now what?
If your project exceeds this limit, we can still accommodate you for an additional fee.
To streamline your channel count and save on costs, you could consider consolidating multiple tracks like vocals, or backing tracks into a stereo mix.
How long will it take for my song/film to be mixed?
We estimate that it will take 3 days to mix a single song. However, if you have more songs you want mixed, you can still book with us. It will take longer of course, but we will provide an estimated completion time once the booking is confirmed.
What do I get back?
Upon completion of the mix, we will provide you with the following: a high-resolution stereo mix. If needed we can also provide a reference mix in 16-bit/44.1kHz WAV and MP3 formats
How long can a song be?
We can mix songs of any length! Our 3 day turnaround is based on the assumption that songs will typically be around or under 5 to 6 minutes. If the songs you're booking are longer than this, it may affect our ability to complete them within this timeframe. However, we will provide you with an estimated completion time upon booking confirmation.
Can I submit reference track(s)?
Yes, we can certainly take your specific direction into consideration while mixing. If you have a particular reference in mind that you would like your song to resemble, please let us know and share what you like about that reference. We will keep that in mind during the mixing process.
When and how do I pay?
For online mixing, mastering or optimizing services, payment is required at the time of booking. We will begin working on your song once payment has been cleared. Payment can be made via debit or credit card on our site.Â
What files should I deliver for mixing?
We mix using Logic. If you also use Logic, you can send us your session. Be sure to commit any processing you want to keep, as we may have different plugins available. If you are using a different DAW, we will need audio files exported from your session at the sample rate and bit depth they were recorded in. Please ensure that all audio files start from the same point (e.g. bar 1/beat 1) and are in WAV or AIFF format (44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96kHz). Also, please bounce or commit any MIDI instruments as audio files, with a bit depth of 24-bit or 32-bit floating point.
What files should I deliver for audio post production?
You'll probably work in Premiere or Final Cut Pro. For Premiere please export your project in an OMF format with the audio files separately and send us both. Also send us the latest version of the film (no high resolution needed). For Final Cut Pro please export your project in and Final Cut Pro XML format. Â
Should I send 'Dry' or 'Wet' files?
We generally prefer to start with the final version of a sound or recording, keeping any important effects or processing. However, for vocals and other effects that can be easily replicated, please provide both the original "dry" version and the final "wet" version. This gives us the flexibility to build upon your ideas. Please label the files clearly and let us know which is which.
How do I upload my files?
You can upload your file(s) via our file upload area here
Can you edit, fix the timing/tuning, or repair my track(s) if needed?
Yes, we can perform additional editing tasks beyond mixing. If you would like us to handle this, just add this option at checkout. Keep in mind that any editing may extend the turnaround time of your project beyond the 3 day target.
What format should I send my files in to be mastered?
High Quality 24-bit Wav or Aif files are recommended at the session sample-rate you’ve been working in (44.1 up to 96khz are ideal). Please make sure you leave any limting/normalisation off before exporting. Please note For immersive audio, the sample rate is required to be 48 0r 96khz.
How much headroom should I leave for mastering?
Please leave as much headroom as possible (aim for -5db) & ensure that any limting/normalising has been removed.
When will I receive my mastered track(s)
Mastered tracks are returned within 24-48 hours of receiving an order.
How many stems can/should I send? (Stem Mastering only)
Please send between 8-10 grouped stems if possible. It’s up to you how you group them - usually Drums, Keys, Synths, Vocals etc works great.
